Described by Pat Metheny as "One of the best guitarists in the world", John Etheridge talks about and performs examples of the jazz styles he’s played: from swing with Stephane Grappelli to fusion with Soft Machine and contemporary jazz.

Jazz Rhythm Playing
A demonstration by jazz guitarists and RGT examiners Jasper Smith and Paul Hill of jazz comping styles, including Latin, Swing, chord voicings and walking bass.

Venue and Times

The venue will be Thames Valley University, Ealing, London W5. There is free car parking nearby on Sundays, as well as good train and underground connections nearby. There is easy access from Heathrow airport. Full travel details will be sent upon receipt of this booking form.

Refreshments will be provided for all participants on arrival at no extra cost. (Participants can purchase sandwiches and snacks for lunch, and additional refreshments throughout the day at the university canteen.)
The conference will open at 10 a.m. and close at 4.30 p.m. This should enable most delegates to attend without the need for overnight accommodation.
